My Favourite Actor
John Travolta is my idol and he's one of my favourite actor.John Travolta or his real name John Joseph Travolta,the youngest of six children born to Helen Travolta and Salvatore Travolta grew up in Englewood, New Jersey,United State of America.He was born on 18 February 1954.He's now 53 years old.Travolta grew up in an Irish-American neighborhood.He has two brothers and three sisters.All of them were an actor & actress like him.Travolta appeared in a local production of "Who'll Save the Plowboy?".His mother enrolled him in a drama school in N e w York
He decided to combine all three of these skills and become a musical comedy performer.He quit from school at 16 years old and moved to New York.Then,he went to Hollywood and appeared in minor roles in several series.Travolta gained his first major movie role as Billy Nolan in the horror movie,Carrie.In the next few years he appeared as Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever and as Danny Zuko in a musical movie,Grease.
He spent about nine months learning how to dance while filming Saturday Night Fever.He had been acting almost 54 movies such as Grease,Saturday Night Fever,Carrie,Michael,Stayin Alive and many more.He also worked as a musician and released several albums.He performed several of his songs from Grease movie in the movie soundtrack album.He had been nominated for Best Actor at Oscar Award, Best Male Performance at MTV Movie Award and Favourite Actor at Blockbuster Entertainment Award.He also had been awarded for Funniest Actor at American Comedy Award, Male Star of the Year at Golden Apple Award and Best Actor at NBR Award. He was named Man of the Year by Harvard's Hasty Pudding Club in 1981.Travolta married actress Kelly Preston twice in 1991 and have a son named Jett and a daughter named Ella Bleu.
They live in Ocala,Florida.Travolta is a licensed pilot and owns five airplanes,including an ex-Australian airliner,the Qantas 707.The plane bears the name Jett Clipper Ella in honor of his son Jett and his daughter Ella.In 1992,he wrote and illustrated a short children's book entitled "Propeller One-Way Night Coach".He wrote about the fictional journey of an 8 years old boy named Jeff across the USA .He also has published a book entitled "John Travolta Staying Fit!", published by Simon in 1984.Travolta is one of the Hollywood celebrity who converted to Scientology in 1975.He said Scientology has played a major role on his success.
